Artist Statement
My work is inspired by the natural environment. Growing up in rural Ontario gave me an early appreciation for the land and its vagaries so, from a very young age, I was inspired by the landscape that I now present in my images which have been described as capturing the ‘atmosphere inherent in the landscape’ and ‘manipulating form and colour to near abstraction, [producing] imagery that is both convincing and original’.
